The project explores how collective memory can be translated into a spatial experience rather than represented through a singular monument. Situated between the city and agricultural landscape, and between two military areas, the site is conceived as a public threshold where remembrance, cultural activity, and everyday life can coexist.

A long east-west volume structures the site and initiates a carefully choreographed sequence. Approaching the museum, fragmented concrete walls form a trench-like passage, evoking separation, loss, and the physical traces of war. As the visitor moves through the building, these protective walls gradually dissolve into the landscape, while the heavier enclosure gives way to a more transparent architecture. The progression from containment to openness transforms the museum route into a spatial narrative of conflict, memory, and reconciliation.

Exposed concrete gives the building a direct and uncompromising material presence, while a continuous internal void connects the exhibition levels vertically and culminates in a shared gathering space at ground level. Rather than isolating memory within an object, the project uses movement, material, and changing degrees of enclosure to create an architecture in which remembrance ultimately leads towards encounter and collective space.
