The project responds to the growing demand for housing in Los Angeles and to zoning changes that encourage greater residential density within established neighbourhoods. Rather than treating density as repetition, the six-unit building accommodates four different condominium types, introducing a range of spatial configurations within a compact urban volume.
This internal diversity is reflected in the composition of the façade, where variations in openings, balconies, and proportions create a measured rhythm while maintaining the clarity of the overall form. The material palette and carefully controlled proportions reinterpret the character of the surrounding residential fabric, with warm-toned surfaces recalling the presence and scale of brick construction without relying on literal historic references.
The result is a compact housing model that combines increased density with spatial variety, establishing a contemporary residential identity while remaining connected to the material and proportional character of its context.
